it's all about patience.

Hello,
Results do not happen overnight. Don't expect crazy amounts of muscle in one week or even one month. You can starve yourself and lose weight in one month but what good does that do if your bond to gain it right back plus interest! Hard work equals amazing results. Eat right ..put in the gym time and you will see slow progress BUT your results will not go away as fast. your body keeps burning fat if you introduce it to a cardio or weight training routine. A magic pill does not exist...a real commitment does. Live Healthy! :)

Wheat pasta chicken salad

Hello,

For Those days when you need to fuel
For a nice cardio workout or just a nice treat for dinner.. Have a small bowl of wheat pasta! it's so good you will love it!

2 cups of wheat pasta- boil
Mix in shredded chicken, cut up spring mix, 1/2 can of sweet corn. Serve warm or cold.

Rotisserie chicken

You can find them at Walmart or at your local farmers market!
Season with your own herbs and preheat the oven at 350... Always cook with the breast down.. This makes the meat more juicy! It usually takes up to 2 hours in the oven
... I like to cover the top with foil towards the last 20 Min of oven time:) this makes it a bit more juicy!

Turkey burgers

Hello everyone :)

I love turkey! Especially turkey burgers ! Yum... Grab some grounded lean turkey at the store and boom your set!
This easy meal is healthy and a great way to change up your everyday burgers :)

Ground lean turkey
1/2 chopped onions
1/2 chopped tomato
Teaspoon ground pepper

Mix these up and spray your pan with olive oil .. Cook on low .

Or grill .. Whatever works for u!

Beef & spinach! Strong bones!

Hello everyone,

Tonight feels like a spinach kind of night... Oh yea and don't forget the beef! Spinach is loaded with vitamin K... This green leafy veggie is loaded with nutrients! Vitamin K is critically important when it comes to building strong bones!! Did you know 1 cup of spinach gives you 200 percent of the daily value of vitamin k! If we're gonna get healthy lets start from the inside! Get your vitamin K on people :) strong bones ... Stronger you! here's a yummy recipe I put together...I hope you enjoy:) think strong.... Live strong!

Beef thin cut breakfast steak
Cut into small pieces.. Use low heat in a small pan and pour a but of olive oil. Mix oil and steak together. Sprinkle pepper in. Next cut up some green onions, 1 tomato and mix in. Keep heat in low. Wait about 2 min.. 2 cups of fresh spinach and place lid on the pan. Let it cool in low heat. Then shift as needed. Cook thoroughly then your ready to eat :)

On the side... Boil 1 cup of whole grain wheat pasta :) that's it .. No salt just the wheat pasta.

One of the best ways to ease your way into a healthier meal planning is to cook your own meals. Plan ahead! If you make it a point to pack your lunch you will be less tempted to go to a drive thru. If your barely easing into this whole process then start by packing your lunch just two days out of the week. Plus this will save you tons of money! We all need a little extra during the holidays so it will definitely save you some green! By packing your lunch during the week you will enjoy your cheat meal a lot more by the weekend. The truth is you don't have to completely change your life .. Just adapt slowly and before you know it ... You will be packing your lunch everyday. Save money and gain a healthier routine. Sounds like a sweet deal to me!

Snack time!

We've all had those moments when were craving something sweet or crunchy? Well I have the perfect little snack for you! When choosing your mid-day snack make sure to always have fruits on hand! I personally always have strawberries & granola in my kitchen. You can also use green apples and they serve as sweet sandwich patties! make sure to try new things and eat what is clean and good for you. Obsessing about your weight is not going to help you ... But eating healthy meals as well as snacks makes you look at your fitness journey in a whole new light. We need to feed our bodies and as doing so we need to feel good about it. Surprise yourself with a little homemade healthy snack... You just might like it!

Garbanzo beans over steamed chicken

It's lunch time! Yay! Lets eat! Today I made a dish I've been meaning to try and It came out so good! Plus it's easy!! I hope you all enjoy my healthy dish! Xoxo

Grill chicken breast on both sides for about 2 to 3 min. Use olive oil. Sprinkle mrs. Dash seasoning on the chicken.

Next....Cut up a tomato , onion and whole ginger. Place it on top of the chicken after you've grilled it. Pour 1/2 cup of garbanzo beans and cover the skillet up and let the chicken steam. Set your temp on low and wait :) once you see that the chicken is cooked than its ready to serve ! Enjoy!

how important is a workout partner ?



Hello!

How important is a workout partner? some will laugh at this and say this is nonsense. I can tell you right here and right now that it is not! let me paint a picture for you all...how many times do you all go to a gym and see two woman or men workout together and while doing so they are conversing between reps? Its all mental people..sometimes we need that in our lives to move forward.  It feels great to leave the stress at the door and workout with a friend. I know this because that's how i have continued to learn from others that strive for the same results as i do! the best part is that it could be anyone you want! it could be your mom, your friend, your cousin, your aunt..anyone!

Once you have done it for so long you will be able to continue it alone. A whole bunch of people laugh at this but its so true! We all like to share our workouts with one another and if you attended a class that makes you sweat ..its awesome when you get to do it all over again with that special person!

All in all ..its all about SUPPORT! If its support and motivation in the flesh you desire than find your partner and start now. Many times woman and men who haven't worked out in so long, start better with a partner. This is true!!

Emotional support is important! if your husband or wife constantly puts you down and doesn't believe in you than its sweet to have a friend that does. We all need the confirmation that our hard work will eventually pay off!  it has been heard that spouses that don't believe in you because they are afraid to start the journey themselves and once they see change..hold you back by putting you down. Positive influence starts at home as well.  If anything is golden its a friend or loved one that will be your partner and continue the journey towards a healthier lifestyle with you.  whomever you choose..make it consistent. design a plan that will best suit your goals and go for the gold...don't settle for 2nd place when it comes to your life!!!  Get up and look for that support system and once you find it ...you will be  glad you did!   "Birds of a feather ..workout together!"

Control Holiday pounds!

Hello,

The holidays are sneaking up on us and we all know what that means... Tons of food... Food ... And more food!! Is this good ? Is this bad? Does it matter?

Well... I can agree with both. Let me just say that our minds control what we eat! Yes.. It's mental. So if you plan on eating a huge holiday meal well that's ok... As long as you know when to stop and when to not ask for 2 or 3 more servings just because your grazing!

We have all blamed the holidays for our extra weight gain....And we should! that pie didnt taste so good because it was made out of fiber and oats people! we all know that the bad stuff taste ssooo good!

This is when you should take into consideration a little thing called "portion control!"  If your going to eat a huge meal than work for it. Dont treat everyday likes it the LAST SUPPER...ok so lets see where people go wrong? hmmmm ...yup i know! Its called a little bit of self control. By controling your appetite you can control the amount of weight you gain.  how???? well take for instance a simple week....start on a monday and challenge yourself to eat 3 clean meals throughout your day and drink plenty of water. Do this everyday and you will achieve a new love for healthy eating. SO when the holidays come around you can say no to when your already full! Its not about stuffing your face with food....its about enjoying the holiday meals and knowing when to stop. Many of us say..oh ill just start after the holidays but why not before? too hard? imgine how much you can conquer in the months leading up to the holidays :)

dont think i wont be eating at my families holidays meals...i will...the only difference is i will know my limit.  your body is your temple ... dont fill it up with too much junk....keep it clean :) it is possible !

It's ok to look away.. BUT if you want to start its never too late! Make it a goal to be active with your children... Make it a goal to walk around the park... Your yard... Your block. No one says the only way to work out is at a gym. There are plenty of places to do it. The feeling of a healthy lifestyle is priceless. If I've reached out to you ... Tuna salad

Organic salad mix
1/2 tomato
2 chopped green onion
1 tbsp dried cherries
1 tbsp of vanilla blueberry clusters

Grilled steak & veggies

Hello! It felt like a steak kind of night. So of course I grilled some steak and veggies to compliment my meal. I like to use pepper on my veggies :) yum!

If your trying to obtain a good healthy ritual ... Try using other spices like "mrs. Dash" grill seasoning.

Hello everyone! Let's eat... I love to steam my chicken.. Today I didn't use
Any spices .. I just placed my veggies on top of my chicken and steamed! Lunch is important so give yourself a
Good healthy meal!

Place raw chicken breast in Pan

Garnish with veggies... Squash,tomato,cilantro & green onion!

Turn over after about 8 min on low. Then place the veggies on top all over again.. Repeat until well cooked!

Lunch time!

I grilled some chicken with olive oil..grilled some broccoli and cut
Up some tomato,avocado, green onion and just spread it over my grilled chicken after I put my placed my chicken on the plate :)

Straight up plain Jane! This was good! I've trained myself to eat plain and its the best gift I've given myself.

Hello!  Heres a little routine to start your day off right!

For ALL off us woman...cellulite is always on the back of our minds..but in our case  its also popping up around our leg and glutes!! GRRR...when you weight train you can reduce the look of cellulite..TRUE STORY!  so here it goes..try this routine and stay with it once a week :)


Wednesday legs & glutes:

barbell squats 6 sets 16,14,12,10,8.6
leg press 3x15
walking lunges 3x15
leg extensions 3x30
leg curl 3x12
hack squat 3x15
air squats 3x25


of course i have to change it up every other week but  for now try any of these routines and put them together..see what works for you!

Did you know eggs are one of the best protein sources on the planet! Eggs score higher in their protein category .. Higher than milk,beef,whey and soy!

Eggs yolk is actually really good for us.. I usually avoid egg yolk because its high in cholesterol. But It's safe to say yolk IS in fact good for us because after some research i found out that choline which is found inside the egg yolk actually helps prevent the accumulation of cholesterol and fat in the liver!! Wow!!! who would of thought! While I'm not going to stay away completely from my egg whites ..it's good to know egg yolk is good for you! I'll be eating my whole eggs every other day.!! A well balance between yolk and no yolk works for me :)

Triceps & Pilates

It's important to workout every part of your body ... Today I worked out my triceps. I love targeting one muscle at a time every other week. I give my body the attention it deserves :). I also ended my routine with a good 30 min pilates session.. I needed to fuel my soul and recharge.

Pilates is great! I absolutely recommend it. Def gives you the figure you want and also works out your inner strength.. Both mental an physical.

Splurge with my Olive oil vinaigrette but good news it's a low fat & low calorie extra :) yay me!

Smoothies!

Hello everyone! So I've decided to do
A basic smoothie.. It's good for you and it full of natural goodness!!

Smoothies are exactly what you put into them. True story!

I treat myself
To one after my workout and it's yummy!! If I have any leftover I store it in the fridge :) make em .. Store them! Get your smoothie on!

2 bananas
6 strawberries (organic if possible)
6 black berries
1 table spoon of Greek plain yogurt
1 cup of 2% milk

Any left over just store it and drink it up later that day :) enjoy!

Sunday breakfast



Breakfast is exactly what you need to get your day going. It's very true if you eat breakfast you will end up being thinner than those who don't. I've applied this into my lifestyle and I don't skip breakfast! I'm a happier person because of it :)

Multigrain pancake, grapes, egg white omelet with fresh cilantro, tomato & onion. BOOM! That's it .. Clean clean clean :) live life .. Live healthy!

You are what you eat???


Hello everyone! Yes i said it "you are what you eat!"  No food in your body all day...just water..maybe a cracker .....makes you a "skinny" weightless individual that conforms to "society skinny" its true..lets admit it.  THIN IS NOT ALWAYS IN PEOPLE!  so by bringing this subject up..what makes a girl or boy turn to a NO FOOD kind of diet? well for starters ..social exceptance can make people do some crazy things. We take things  out on ourselves for the damge we are trying to repair in our own lives. A no food diet is self destructive and leads to death. your worth more..you derserve to live and not to conform. you are what you eat and if you DONT eat..you are nothing..sad to say but its true.

lets take the sugar chompin over eaters...okay so you do eat..and it shows. you are what you eat. A huge mcdonalds meal with a side of fries...and thats ok if it were in moderation..but some eat just to eat.  depression can lead many to open the fridge late at night or even sneak food. WHY? well i believe its a mental issue as well. Take control of yourselves and start today.

what im trying to get at everyone is that food is our friend...take it for what it is. Its fuel and it gives us the right nutrients to live a healthier and more productive life:)  i have always believed that everything is mental..its true..its all mental.  If i say to myself "im sick ..im sick..im sick" well then i will become ill and sick!  our mind "F****" with us all the time.


Eat clean..and the results will surprise you. your attitude will change and your sex life may even get better! Self confidence is important and it shows when you feel great! so give it a whirl!

Think HEALTHY LIFESTYLE and you will LIVE A HEALTHIER LIFE.   Ive learned to control the way i think and be positive no matter the situation.  im not saying that you have to be a size zero! goodness no...im just saying you owe it to yourself to feel better in your own skin. do it for your kids ..do it for you.

Portobello mushroom BBQ chicken burger!

Ssooo good! Who said you can't have a Biggo chicken burger??

I wanted to eat a burger minus the guilty feeling ... So.. I put this little baby together! It's so good! I hope you all like it ! Yum!

Grilled chicken breast
Add some pepper to the chicken and place some green onions on top!

Once your chicken is cooked .. Pour a tablespoon of your fave BBQ Sauce.. In this case I used a low fat low sodium BBQ sauce :) Let it simmer really good!

Next grill the portobello mushrooms. With some olive oil and let them warm up a bit .. Don't leave them
In their to long .

Here comes the fun part!!

Make a burger! Add tomato and even avocado if you would like ..

I grilled asparagus on the side for my "French fry effect" lol an some brown rice :)

Multigrain pancakes & waffle mix!!

Omg!! I've just had the best little pancakes ever! By the way .. I've always been a "no thank you I don't eat pancakes" kind of girl... BUT these were so good and not to mention much better than regular mixes out there in my opinion. I'm sure there are thousands of wheat pancake mixes out but so far I found the ones that I like best!
